Degree Programs

  • THIRTY HOUR BIBLE CERTIFICATE

    For students who want a 30 hour Bible study program for personal enrichment, the Seminary offers a Thirty Hour Bible Certificate for the equivalent of one full year of courses designed to give a broad, basic Bible foundation to all recipients. Not for students who intend to stay for an Associate degree or higher.

  • ASSOCIATE IN BIBLE

    The Associate in Bible program is designed for students who wish to prepare for general Christian service. Students preparing for a pastoral ministry are encouraged to take the Bachelor of Theology program. To receive the Associate in Bible degree the student must complete sixty semester hours of study with a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average. The student must complete twelve semester hours of general education courses, twenty-two hours of Bible courses, and twelve hours of ministry courses.

  • BACHELOR OF BIBLE

    The Bachelor of Bible may be awarded for the satisfactory completion of 120 semester hours as described. In addition to the requirements for the Associate in Bible the student must complete twenty-eight semester hours of Bible courses with a junior or senior classification and twelve semester hours of ministry courses with a junior or senior classification. A cumulative grade point average of 2.0 overall is required.

  • BACHELOR OF THEOLOGY/BACHELOR OF THEOLOGY - BIBLE LANGUAGE EMPHASIS

    The Bachelor of Theology program is designed for those preparing for pastoral ministries. To receive the degree the student must complete 128 semester hours with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0. After completing the basic courses the student may choose an emphasis in theology or Bible languages. All students are required to complete the following core curriculum.

  • MASTER OF THEOLOGY

    A Master’s program is available to the college graduate. This program requires 90 hours of study on campus. It is designed with the needs of each student in mind. The Dean of Students and the student work out the details.

  • MASTER OF THEOLOGY - BIBLE LANGUAGE EMPHASIS

    A Master’s program is available to the college graduate. This program requires 90 hours of study on campus. It is designed with the needs of each student in mind. The Dean of Students and the student work out the details.

  • DOCTORATE PROGRAM

    The doctorate program of study in the Missionary Baptist Seminary is designed for those individuals who have successfully completed undergraduate and graduate degrees from this institution (or equivalent degrees from ABATS schools). The student must have proven competence in actual ministry with at least three (3) years of pastoral experience and a desire to do advanced studies in directed research and formal writing.
