Dr. Roger Copeland, President

Dr. Roger Copeland is the pastor of Northern Hills Baptist Church in Texarkana, Arkansas.
Dr. Roger Gale Copeland was born on August 5, 1963, in Newport, Arkansas. Raised in a Christian home, Dr. Copeland accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of seven and was baptized by Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Judsonia, Arkansas. He was called to preach in January 1981, delivering his first sermon at Bethel #2 Missionary Baptist Church in Rison, Arkansas. He was licensed to preach and ordained by Bethel #2 in Febuary 1982. He graduated from Woodlawn High School in Rison, Arkansas, in 1981, and then enrolled at the Missionary Baptist Seminary in Little Rock, Arkansas. There, he earned his Th.B. in 1985, his Th.M. in 1987, and his Th.D. in 1991.
Dr. Copeland is married to Jenny Beth (Carter) from Warren, Arkansas, and they have three children: Andrea (Crook), Amanda (Bagby), and Grant. He is a grandfather to Bentley Bagby and Brynley Bagby.
Bro. Mark Harris, Dean of Students

Brother Mark Harris is the pastor of Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Growing up in Texarkansas, Brother Harris was saved and then baptized by County Aveneue MBC (now Northern Hills) at age thirteen. He felt the call to preach while in his second year of college. After finishing his college, he moved to Little Rock to start the Seminary in the fall of 1979. He holds a BSBA from the University of Arkansas and a Master in Bible Languages from the Seminary.
Following his graguation from the Seminary in 1984, Brother Harris went full-time as an associate pastor at Liberty MBC in Little Rock where he was ordained. In 1986, he answered the call from Unity MBC in Little Rock to service as MBSF Director, a position he held until 1997, when the church called him as pastor
In 1980, Brother Harris married Elaine Bohannon and they were blessed with two children, Ashley and Adam.
Bro. Thad Allen, Librarian

Brother Thadeus Allen is the pastor of North Fork Missionary Baptist Church in Paron, Arkansas.
Brother Allen was raised in Arkansas until age seven when his family moved to Conifer, Colorado. At age fourteen, he moved back to Malvern, Arkansas adn graguated from Malvern High School. Bro. Allen was saved at age twelve and baptized by the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Lakewood, Colorado. At age twenty-four, Bro. Allen answered the call to ministry. He was ordained by Emmanuel MBC in Malvern in 2019. Brother Allen has served on staff as youth director at Emanuel in Malvern (2012-2018) and asociate Pator (2018-2020).
Degrees earned by Brother Allen include a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Minor in Chemistry, HSU, 2010 and a master's in Bible Languages from the Seminary in 2018.
Brother Allen and his wife, Katie, married in 2010 and they have four children: Ericka, Kenneth, Alice, and Beatrix.
Bro. J.D. Watson, Administrative Assistant

Brother J.D. Watson is the pastor of Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Delight, Arkansas.
Brother Watson was saved at the age of 9 and was baptized in Trinity MBC in Murfreesboro, Arkansas, where he remained a member until be began pastoring. After graduating from Murfreesboro High School in 2009, he attended Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas where he earned a Bachelor of Arts - Music degree adn a Bachelor of Business - Management degree. In 2014, Brother J.D. reieved his Arkansas contractor's license and began building homes with his grandfather. He announced his call to preach in 2015 and was ordained by and began pastoring Liberty Hill MBC in Delight, Arkansas in 2016. Brother Watson received his Master of Theology degree from the Missionary Baptist Seminary in Little Rock, Arkansas in 2021.
He and his wife, Allie, have been married since 2016. They have a 7 year old daughter named Jolee, a 5 year old son named Jones, and 4 month old son named Jack.
Bro. Dillon Miller

Bro. Dillon Miller is the pastor of Glen Rose Missionary Baptist Church in Malvern, Arkansas.
Rison, Arkansas was home to Brother Miller who graduated from Woodlawn High School there. He was saved at age seventeen and baptized by the Old Bethel #2 MBC in Herbine near Rison. At age twenty-two, he answered God's call to ministry and was ordained by the Bethel #2 MBC in 2016.
Educational degrees earned by Brother Miller include a BSBA from Arkansas Tech and a Master of Theology, MBS. Brother Miller is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Master's Seminary in Los Angeles, Califorinia.
Brother Miller married Alyssa Anderson in 2017.
Dr. Terry Parrish
Faculty: Instructor since 1989
Dr. Terry Parrish is the pastor of Spring Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Benton, Arkansas.
Raised in Clay County in northeastern Arkansas, Dr. Parrish graduated 10th in his class from Corning High School in 1971, an honor graduate with a History Award.
Dr. Parrish was twelve years old when he was saved and then baptized by the Pleasant Grove MBC in Success, Arkansas. At age sixteen, he felt the calling of God to preach and answered on August 4, 1970 while at Central States Youth Camp, Potosi, Missouri. He came right to the Seminary after graduation. Bro. Parrish was ordained by Antioch MBC in Little Rock in February, 1973.
Dr. Parrish recieved his Bachelor of Bible Languages (1975), Master of Bible Languages (1976), and Doctor of Bible Languages (1998) from the Seminary. He also recieved an Olford School of Praching Certificate in 1993.
Dr. Parrish has been married for over 50 years to his wife, Sandra Grable Parrish and they have two children, Clay Alan and Shelly Loftin, and four grandchildren.
Dr. Lynn Harris

Dr. Lynn Harris is the pastor of Glad Tidings Missionary Baptist Church in Pangburn, Arkansas.
Dr. Harris was raised in Texas and Arkansas. He graduated from DeQueen High School. At age thirteen, he was saved and then baptized by New Liberty MBC in Garland, Texas. Later, he answered God's call to the ministry and was ordained by First Baptist Church, Bryant in 1985.
Dr. Harris recieved a Bachelor in Bible Languages (MBS), Master of Bible Languages (TBMS), Master of Bible Languages (MBS), and a Doctor of Theology (MBS).
Dr. Harris married Cheryl Harris in 1984 and were blessed with three children: Cody, Caitlyn, and Connor.
Bro. Will Diggs

Brother Will Diggs is a church planter in Little Rock, Arkansas
Brother Diggs was born in Hot Springs and finished high school at Centerpoint High School. He was saved at age eight and was baptized at Oaklawn MBC in Hot Springs. At the age of fourteen, Brother Diggs felt and answered the call to ministry.
Brother Diggs attended Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas and earned a Bachelor of History degree in 2005. He earned a Master's in Bible Languages degree from the Seminary in 2012.
Brother Ditts married Ashely Richardson in 2005 and the Lord blessed them with three children: Gracie, J'Amauri, and Gus.
Bro. Joey McDermott
Faculty: Instructor since 2011
Bro. Joey McDermott is the pastor of Second Baptist Church in Malvern, Arkansas.
Growing up in a pastor's home, Brother McDermott knew the life of a minister up close and personal. He was saved at age eight and baptized by the Harmony MBC in Pasadena, Texas. Following his graduation from Ouachita High School, he attended the Spartan School of Aeronautics and Christensen Aviation School in Tulsa where he earned his commercial pilot license and flew for a few years in the aviation industry. He later joined the U.S. Coast Guard and was a crew engineer on a Search and Rescue HH65 helicopter from 1988-1993.
After finishing his studies at Ouachita, Brother McDermott came to the Seminary and earned his Masters in Theology in 2011.
Brother McDermott and wife Kristie are blassed with four children: Taylor, Tori, Maddie, and Van. They also have five grandchildren.
Dr. Jerry Medlock

Dr. Jerry Medlock is the pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Dr. Medlock was raised in Batesville and graduated from Cushman High School in 2004. He was saved at the age of eight and baptized ny the Unity MBC in Batesville. At the age of fifteen, he felt the Lord's call to ministry. Later, Dr. Medlock was ordained by the Marlow MBC in 2005.
Dr. Medlock has earned a Bachelor in Bible Languages (MBS, 2007); Master's in Bible Languages (MBS, 2009); and a Doctorate in Bible Languages (MBS, 2013). He is presently completing another Master's degree from Southwestern in Fort Worth, Texas and plans to pursue his PhD.
Dr. Medlock married Elizabeth Matthews in 2005 adn the Lord has blessed them with five children: Nathaniel, Adalee, Amelia, Avalyn, and Nicholas.
Dr. Todd Self
Faculty: Instructor since 2018
Dr. Todd Self is the pastor of Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Locust Grove, Arkansas.
Raised in a pastor's home in Piggott, Dr. Self graduated from high school there in 1988. He was saved at age eight and baptized by Calvary MBC in Piggott. He answered the call to ministry at age thirteen and was ordained by Calvary at age sixteen.
Dr. Self earned a Bachelor of Science (Biology) from OBU; Bachelor of Bible Languages, MBS; Bachelor of Theology, MBS; Master in Bible, MBS; Master of Theology, TBI; and Doctor of Bible Languages (MBS).
He is a faculty member at Baptist Prep School in Little Rock
Dr. Self married his wife Ronda Webb in 2004 and the Lord blessed their union with two children, Cameron and Nathan.
Bro. Terry Romine
Faculty: Instructor since 2020
Brother Terry Romine is the pastor of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Cunningham, Tennessee.
Brother Romine grew up in Hoxie in northeastern Arkansas where he graduated from high school in 1976. He was saved at the age of ten and later baptized by the Gethsemane MBC in Walnut Ridge in 1982. At age twenty-four, the Lord called him to the ministry and he answered in December of 1982. Brother Romine was ordained by the Baseline MBC in Little Rock on November 9, 1984.
Degrees earned by Brother Romine include: Bachelor in Science, Agricultural Education, ASU (1980); Bachelor of Bible Languages, MBS (1987), and Master of Counseling, Columbus State (2008).
He also served as an U.S. Army Chaplin from February 1998 through May 2020.
Brother Romine married Cleta Kay Tate in June of 1977 and the Lord blessed with a daughter, Shelly Lynn.
Dr. Phillip Miller

Dr. Phillip Miller is the pastor of First Baptist Church in Bryant, Arkansas
Bald Knob in north central Arkansas was home to Dr. Miller and where he graduated from high school. He was saved at the age of nine and baptized by the Salem MBC in Judsonia. At age seventeen, he felt the Lord's call to minstry and was ordained by Temple MBC in Bald Knob in 1991.
The following degrees were earned by Dr. Miller in his course of studies: Bachelor, Master, and Doctor of Bible Languages at the Seminary; BS-Education, UCA; and Master of Science-Education, HSU, Arkadelphia.
Dr. Miller married Lorie Huffman in 1992 and they have two daughters: Hannah Page and Maddie Hatley, and one granddaughter.
Dr. Mark THOrNToN

Dr. Mark Thornton is the pastor of Big Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Malvern, Arkansas.
Dr. Thornton was raised in Malvern and graduated from Malvern High School in 1979. He was saved at age nine and baptized by Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Malvern. Dr. Thornton announced his call to preach at age sixteen on August 7, 1977. Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church ordained him on September 19, 1981.
Dr. Thornton earned his Bachelor of Bible Langueages and Bachelor of Theology degrees from the Seminary in 1983. He also earned his Master's of Bible Languages in 1987 adn Doctorate of Bible Languages in 2004.
Dr. Thornton began teaching at the Seminary in the fall of 1989, making him the longest consecutive serving faculty member at present.
Dr. Thornton married Brenda Woosley on August 10, 1979 and they were blessed with two sons, Matthew and Steven, and four grandchildren.
Dr. Matt Thornton

Dr. Matt Thornton is the pastor of North Bryant Baptist Church in Bryant, Arkansas.
Dr. Thornton was rased in a pastor's home in Bryant where he finished high school. He was saved and baptized at age seven while his family was at Liberty MBC in Little Rock. When he was twenty-five years old, he answered God's call to ministry. Dr. Thornton was ordained by the North Bryant Baptist Church in 2008 where he has served for the past sixteen years as associeat pastor (5 years) adn pastor (11 years).
Dr. Thornton recieved his Bachelor's in Business with Finance empasis from UCA, a Master's in Bible Languages and a Doctorate in Bible Languages from the Seminary.
Dr. Thornton married Allison Wilson in 2002 and the Lord blessed them with two chidren, Landon and Avery.
Dr. Micah Deaton

Dr. Micah Deaton is the pastor of Summit Baptist Church in Springdale, Arkansas.
Dr. Deaton was raised in Delight, Arkansas and graduated from Delight High School in 1999. He was saved at age eight and baptized by the Temple MBC in Murfreesboro. While in College, he felt the Lord's call to ministry at age twenty-one. After finishing his college education at the UA, he came to Little Rock to attend the Seminary. Dr. Deaton was ordained by Unity MBC in Little Rock in 2006.
Dr. Deaton's degrees include: Bachelor of Arts, Psychology (UA, 2003); Master of Bible Languages (MBS, 2006); and Doctorate of Bible Languages (MBS, 2016).
Dr. Deaton married Sheri Youngblood in 2001 and they have two children, Abigal and Adam.
